At JCU, I coordinate the College of Healthcare Science's Undergraduate Research Internship (URI) program. The URI is a Work-Integrated Learning opportunity designed to enrich students' coursework learning via applied research experience prior to completing their undergraduate studies. It is founded on providing mentorship and the formal opportunity to work through the research process. As an annual program, it pairs undergraduate students with JCU researchers.
I have been awarded the 2025 JCU Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning (Innovation category and the 2025 Overall Winner) and 2023 Award for Excellence (Innovation and Change category) for the URI.
